The Quest for the Perfect Granola

Ever since my ultra running days, where trail mix in many combinations were standard trail fare, I'm an absolute granola freak. The possibiitieis are endless... how many different ingredients and textures there can be..... I think being part Swiss.. muesli and granola are just in my blood. Here's a mixture I 've prepared for guests that they love. You don’t have to worry about adjusting the ingredients - almost anything goes

Chocolate Banana Bread

Now, I have always liked the pairing of chocolate and bananas, but in the past I have been content with just adding some chocolate chips to a regular banana bread batter. Here's a bread with a mild chocolate flavor yet still retaining the sweetness and moistness that has made banana bread so popular. .

Food for Thought or..

Quotes from the Frontier House This PBS aired Frontier House had a huge influence on our final choice to move to Montana While we were gung ho on it, watching this was the "icing on the cake" for us. I jotted down several of my favorite quotes from the show so I could post them here. If you’ve never watched it, I highly encourage you to do so. It’s really fascinating on several different levels. And, in my opinion, the only one of the “house” reproduction-type shows worth watching.
